Banyak anak muda atau orang yang baru menikah dan akan mulai mengisi rumahnya dengan perabotan. Inginnya, dengna budget terbatas, mereka bisa punya rumah yang keren,” ujar Raymond.

Namun, pada akhirnya, saya ingin memanfaatkan apa yang Indonesia punya dan apa yang bisa kita lakukan dengan itu. jadilah saya pada waktu itu memutuskan bergerak di bidang furniture dan kerajinan tangan. Dari Jepang itu pula, saya bisa mengharga ibarang dengan tekstur seasli mungkin dan warna yang natural,” ujar Raymond.

Keragaman material di Indonesia sangat kaya. Sayangnya, kadang bahan tersebut dianggap kurang bernilai. Padahal, jika diolah dengna baik, bahan tersebut akan menghasilkan sesuatu yang indah dan bernilai tinggi. “Di banyak negara lain, produk buatan tangan dengan material alami justru sangat dihargai,” tutur Raymond. Dari Indonesia, produk-produk Nagarey pun bertemu dengan peminat-peminatnya di beberapa negara Asia dan Eropa.
